Angela Clarke manages to highlight how insane the fashion industry can be and, like she does frequently in the book, raised the question for me...do I really want to be a part of this world?
But you know what, I do. Yes the models are too thin and we're not saving the world, but we can't all be life savers, the beauty of fashion is that it offers a creative escape route for those of us who still believe in fairytales and romance.
Fashion is fun and impractical but it refuses to change for anyone. It is an industry full of super-b*tches (sorry mum for kind-of swearing if you're reading this) but I adore it and with graduation and a few job applications sent off (I feel so old) already the dream is a little closer each day...now just to finish this dissertation. EEEEEP!
